SKATR Privacy Policy
SKATR is a figure skating training app built by SKATR. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email and name when you sign up (via email, Google, or Facebook sign in), and a profile photo if you add one.
- Skating videos. The clips you record or upload for analysis.
- Your feedback. The confirmations and corrections you give on our analysis, such as the jump you attempted and how the landing went.
- Optional measurements. Height and other body measurements if you choose to provide them, used to improve measurement accuracy.
- Training plans and progress. The sessions, elements and goals you create in the app.
- Usage information. Basic technical data about how the app is used, to keep it working and improve it.
How we use it
- To analyze your videos and give you feedback on your skating.
- To power your training plans, history and progress tracking.
- To improve SKATR's analysis engine. Your videos and feedback help train the AI so it gets more accurate for every skater. You agree to this explicitly in the app before your first upload.
- To communicate with you about the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your videos publicly.
- We do not show ads.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services in the United States, encrypted in transit. Access requires your account credentials.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run SKATR: Amazon Web Services (storage and processing), Google Firebase (sign in), and Meta (only if you choose Facebook sign in). Each receives only what is needed for its function.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. Delete your account and it all goes: videos, analyses, feedback, plans and profile. See our Data Deletion page for how.
Skaters under 18
SKATR is used by young athletes. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review and approve your use of SKATR, including the consent given in the app.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and note it in the app where the change matters.
